Liverpool Virtual Tour
with information about The Church in Manchester, in Ireland and in The Isle of Man
Liverpool, UK, played such an important role in the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, especially in the early years of this gospel dispensation.
This Virtual Tour tells of the arrivals of many missionaries here, but more significantly, it tells of a new period of Latter-day Saint migration to America where upwards of 90,000 converts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints departed from Liverpool to not only seek a new life in a new land, but to join with and strengthen the church there. It also tells of many inspirational meetings and conferences that were held in the Liverpool Music Hall in the ninteenth century.
It teaches how the restored gospel spread from these docks to the neighboring lands of Ireland, Scotland and to the Isle of Man.
It also speaks about the expanding printing operation of The Church with the local printing of The Book of Mormon here, and of the relocation here of the periodical The Latter-day Saints Millennial Star, and the additional relocation here of expanding church offices.
Finally, it likewise tells of the role Manchester played in the early days of the Church.
